One of the advantages of living in Southern Africa is the photo opportunities when you go on a roadtrip. Here is the thing – the scenery cahnges almost constantly. And mostly it is beautiful! As part of the Capture the Colour photo contest I decided to showcase some of my favourite pics from Southern Africa. But, there is a trick – each photo has to represent a colour. White, red, green, blue and yellow. Five photo's. Five colours.
For WHITE I chose a photo from a small ghost town just outside Lüderitz in Namibia. The town is called Kollmanskop and it is a fascinating place to visit!
For RED we are still staying in Namibia, but we are going to the desert dunes of Sussusvlei.
For BLUE I would like to take you to the Drakensberg in South Africa. This is without a doubt one of my favourite places in the world.
Now, to go further South. For YELLOW I chose a photo I took at the Owl House in Nieu-Bethesda in South Africa. This is a small town in every sense and a gem in the heart of South Africa.
Lastly, for GREEN I would like to take you to the mountain passes just outside Knysna, South Africa. For a stunning view around every turn, this is the place to go!
I would also like to tag five other bloggers who's travel photo's I like to take a look at:
- Neeltjie of My Shutterspeed Life
- Lanette of Lanlettie
- Amy of Club Narwhal
- Amanda of Willful/Joyful
- Erica of The Bartletts Abroad
I know the competition closes on the 9th of October, but if you rush you might still make the deadline. Otherwise, why not post it in any case? I would love to see the photos you would like to connect to those colours. For more info you could go here.
Happy colour matching!
